We're hiring

Help us even the math for every independent restaurant in America.

We're a small team building tools that the rest of restaurant tech ignores. If you want to work on something that actually matters — for the people who actually feed America — and you can ship fast in a small remote team, we'd love to hear from you.

How we work

Small team. Real responsibility. Ridiculous pace.

01

Remote, asynchronous, deliberate.

We work from wherever, on whatever schedule lets us ship the most. Async by default; calls only when they're the fastest path to a decision.

02

Outcomes over hours.

We don't track time. We do track whether the customer got helped, the campaign got shipped, the bug got fixed. If you're doing the work, you're free to live your life.

03

Direct over diplomatic.

Real feedback, fast. Nobody is precious. We'd rather change our minds in fifteen minutes than spend a quarter being polite to one another.

04

No politics. No titles.

Job titles exist for résumés and email signatures. Inside the company they aren't a hierarchy. If you see a problem, you fix it or flag it. You don't need anyone's permission.

05

Equity for everyone full-time.

If you're shipping with us full-time, you own a piece of what we're building. We're not interested in second-tier hires — we want owners.

Our values

Five things we won't be talked out of.

01

The customer runs a kitchen. Act like it.

Every product decision, every email, every reply we draft starts with one question: would a restaurant owner have time for this at 11pm on a Saturday? If the answer is no, simplify until the answer is yes. Most software companies forget who their customer is. We will not.

02

Ship beats slick.

A messy launch you learn from beats a perfect launch you never made. We bias toward the smallest version we can put in front of a real customer this week, then sharpen it next week. Excellence is what shows up after a hundred shipped iterations, not before the first one.

03

No politics. No titles. No bullshit.

Titles are coordination tools, not a hierarchy. Inside the company you solve the problem in front of you, ask for help when you need it, and tell the truth even when it's awkward. We have no patience for performances of seniority.

04

Plain English wins.

In product copy, in support emails, in slack messages, in code comments, in ad scripts — clear writing is the whole job. If you can't explain what you're doing to a restaurant owner who's been on her feet for twelve hours, you don't understand it yet.

05

Compound the small things.

A sharper subject line. A better prompt. A cleaner support reply. We don't believe in moonshots — we believe in showing up every day and shaving 1% off the friction. After a hundred days, you have a different company. That's the entire game.

Customer Support Representative

About the role

You'll be the human voice of ReviewAnswered for thousands of independent restaurants. When something breaks, when an owner is confused about a reply we drafted, when they need help connecting their Google Business Profile — you're the one who fixes it, fast, in a tone that sounds like a friend, not a help desk.

Restaurant owners are not patient — they don't have time to be. The best part of this job is using that constraint as a forcing function. Every reply you send should respect their time and read like a human wrote it. Because one did.

What you'll do

  • Reply to incoming customer support emails — most within two hours during US business hours, all within the same day.
  • Walk new customers through onboarding, especially the part where they add ReviewAnswered as a manager on their Google Business Profile.
  • Spot the sensitive review situations our system flags (employee names, health concerns, legal threats) and coordinate with the owner to handle the response together.
  • Listen for patterns. When the same question shows up four times in a week, that's a product or copy bug. Feed it back.
  • Keep our self-service docs current and simple.
  • Occasionally hop on a fifteen-minute screen-share when an email isn't enough.

Who you are

  • You write well. Plain English, warm tone, no corporate fluff. We will read the writing in your application closely — that is the role.
  • At least 2–3 years in a customer-facing role at a software, services, or hospitality company.
  • You understand US restaurants, either because you've worked in one or because you've supported them in a previous role.
  • You're comfortable with AI-powered tools and not threatened by them. Reviewing and improving AI-drafted replies will be part of your day.
  • You're self-driven. Remote means nobody is checking your hours — only your outcomes.
  • You can cover at least part of US Eastern or Central business hours, regardless of where on the planet you live.

Bonus points

  • Conversational Spanish.
  • You've used Google Business Profile, Yelp, or another review platform from the operator side.
  • You've worked with Stripe billing tickets or Mailgun deliverability tickets before.

What we offer

  • 100% remote. Anywhere on Earth, whichever timezone setup works for you and the team.
  • Competitive cash + meaningful equity. Negotiated case-by-case.
  • Health insurance (US) or stipend equivalent (international).
  • Up to $1,500/year for tools, hardware, conferences, books — whatever helps you do the job better.
  • Direct relationship with the founder. You will see how the company is run from day one.

Open role · Marketing & creative

Creative Director, Performance Marketing

Remote · Anywhere on EarthFull-time · SeniorCompensation negotiable + equity

About the role

Performance marketing at ReviewAnswered is, in plain terms, the engine that brings independent restaurants to our door. You'll lead the creative — concepts, scripts, video direction, copy — for every paid channel we run. Meta. TikTok. Google. YouTube. You'll also steer the small team that ships those creatives, including external freelancers.

This is a senior IC + light leadership role. You will personally write some of the most important copy and concept some of the most important ads. You will also direct others to do the same. We are not big enough to bring in an executive who only manages.

What you'll do

  • Set the creative strategy for every paid channel and own the testing roadmap.
  • Concept and write the highest-leverage assets yourself — hero ads, hero scripts, hero landing copy.
  • Direct external freelancers (designers, editors, motion artists, voice talent) and pull in the right specialists for each campaign.
  • Read the dashboard. Cut what isn't working. Double down on what is. The fastest learning loop wins the channel.
  • Build the brand book in motion — what does ReviewAnswered sound like in a 30-second TikTok vs. a Meta still ad vs. a YouTube pre-roll? That's your call.
  • Partner with the founder on big positioning bets — pricing, messaging, market expansion.

Who you are

  • 7+ years in performance creative or direct response, with at least 3 of those owning a paid budget end-to-end.
  • You have shipped creative that demonstrably moved a metric. You can show us the before-and-after.
  • You write — really write — direct response copy. Headlines that hook, scripts that hold attention, hooks that test.
  • You read paid-channel dashboards (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Triple Whale, GA4, or similar) without asking analysts to interpret for you.
  • You've worked in B2B small business or local services — restaurants, salons, gyms, contractors, dental, beauty. You know how the buyer thinks.
  • You're comfortable in a small team where the next campaign matters more than the org chart.

Bonus points

  • A track record at a vertical SaaS company.
  • Native instinct for short-form vertical video (TikTok-native, Reels, Shorts).
  • You've directed actor talent on set, not just designers in Figma.

What we offer

  • 100% remote. Work where you want.
  • Senior-level cash + meaningful equity. Compensation negotiated case-by-case based on what you bring.
  • Direct line to the founder. No layers between concept and ship.
  • Authority to ship. We hire for judgment, then give it room.
  • Health stipend, work-from-anywhere stipend, learning budget.
